While we accept most dental insurance plans, we understand that insurance does not cover all dental costs. We also understand that some patients have no dental insurance. That’s why we partner with CareCredit, one of the world’s leading healthcare financiers. We want our patients to be able to get the care they need when they need it.
Dental insurance is not the same as healthcare insurance. Most plans only pay a portion of dental costs and have a low annual limit, usually $1000-2000 per patient. When you or your child needs a tooth repaired, you may have costs that are considered the patient's responsibility, even if you have insurance. Above financing options can help to spread out the cost of care over time while providing the dental care you need right away.

The American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

If you or your child have orthodontic concerns, our free consultation will help kickstart your journey to a straighter smile. We’ll examine your smile, and take photos, x-rays, and digital scans so we can recommend the best orthodontic treatment for you or your child.
If you're not sure about a proposed treatment, Smiles of Bulverde offers a free second opinion to those without dental insurance. A second opinion can clear up confusion and help you feel more confident about your treatment plan. It can also help provide an alternative treatment and a different perspective. $99 consultation fee must be paid at the time of visit, and will be applied toward recommended treatment should you decide to proceed with treatment at Smiles of Bulverde.
